When I was about 8 I used to spend many afternoons especially after a good rain out back in my parents yard making layered mudpies. Each layer of mud topped off and decorated with beautiful stones and pebbles I carefully searched for. I would dig a deep hole until I got to the clay earth and gather and mold the clay perfectly using old pots and saucers from my father's potting shed. This was my creative awakening. I was amazed at what you could do with a little bit of nature, your hands and imagination. This feeling has stayed with me throughout my life. A day without paint, dirt, or clay on my hands is a day not explored or lived enough.
I studied fine art at the College of Old Westbury, NY graduating with presidential art honors and a Bachelors degree in VISUAL ART.
