Get Inspired

When I woke up today and watched the ocean's swell from my porch I knew it would be a great day to look for treasures. Hurricane Bill never made landfall here but he churned up the sea enough to wash seaglass and sea urchin shells to shore. With my four year old son and his friend intow we hit one of my favorite spots on the West end of the island for small shells. The photo below is the urchin I found which was in need of a desperate cleaning. The color is so beautiful and it now has found a happy home. I am tempted to create a painting of it now. Nature is magnificent isn't it? What a reminder of our unique place in this world and the beauty that lies at our feet everyday if we just bend down to look closer at the little things a little more often.

Isola Bella travels to Bermuda

I just received these lovely photos along with a note today from Bridget, a fan of Isola Bella who will be tying the knot on the beautiful island of Bermuda this month. As a special gift to her lovely bridal party she filled our Isola Bella totes with wonderful goodies. We thought her choices were so creative! Our eco-friendly bags were filled with gorgeous pashminas, Havaiana flip flops, India Hicks Island Living lotions and other luxurious items. Congratulations to the bride and groom!
