At Home features the Isola Bella Collection

At Home is so inviting

A new shop and gallery showroom is opening today in Atlantic Beach Florida. At Home features beautiful furniture, home decor and original art and gifts. Amy Kooba, one of the shop owners just sent me these pics today. So fun to see how they displayed the isola bella collection among their beautiful furnishings. Just lovely. Aside from the isola bella collection Amy will be exhibiting my photography and art and it will be included in this month's Art Walk. If you are in the Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach area be sure to not miss this event where artists, shops and galleries stay open late to showcase local talent. October 21st is the date. Mark it on your calendar.

Art & Inspiration

I spent yesterday morning taking in some local scenery and snapping photos on the iphone for references for my paintings. It is amazing what is around every corner here. Vibrant colors and beautiful patterns on flowers and even reef fish sold at the local fisherman truck stand.

This is going to become one of my next paintings on canvas and also matted photo prints.
Look at the colors! Just beautiful. The parrot fish actually changes colors I was told. They can also change their sex from male to female and vice versa in response to fluctuations in population density.

I am very happy to share my latest news with you and want to thank Deanna of Outer Banks Trading Group for including my original paintings in her online gallery. New works in the upcoming weeks will include more monochromatic and ocean subjects as well as botanicals and more fish paintings.

My New Paintings of the week

"Water Hyacinth" by Gina Feddersen

On a Final Note just wanted to share with you a new favorite quote that really puts it so simply

"CREATE THE LIFE YOU IMAGINE"

Love that!

Thanks for stopping by.

Simply Beautiful

I came across this incredibly talented jewelry designer recently and just fell in love with her easy breezy style. Heather of Simple Daisy creates things that are in her words "Pretty", "Simple" and "Fresh." Taking a look at her blog you can see how she sticks to that motto everyday with her fabulous homeade recipes, yoga tips, decorating projects and crafty ideas. She is a positive spirit and that positive energy flows right into what she creates~

Simply Beautiful Things

I love these pieces she has designed available on her etsy shop. I want them all. Will make you feel like Summer is forever wearing one of them.

"It is my desire & passion to create simple pieces of jewelry that evoke feelings of blissful days spent on the shore. I am inspired by the beauty & simplicity of the ocean…..aqua blues, shimmering water, sea life all come through in my designs."

Weekend Escape

Today we headed to the West End of St. Thomas. A little picnicing, beachcombing on an uninhabited island, and we even caught dinner on the ride home. I still feel the motion of the ocean as I sit here typing. Lot's of fun in the sun and inspiration for new paintings.
